How to Submit Applications to the Carriers (Including Humana)

Answer
When your group has completed their applications you will need to submit retrieval instructions to each carrier. The carrier will be sent an email through EasyAppsOnline that contains a website address, username, password, and submission code that are required to download the employee applications.
How to Submit Applications to the Carriers (Including Humana)

  1. Locate your client when you first log in to EasyAppsOnline
  2. Mouse over the Application Maint. icon to the right of your group’s name
  3. Click on the Application Management dropdown below.
  4. Choose the option Manage Group Applications

     
    **Non-Humana Carriers** 
  1. Click the button Send to Carrier Site
  2. By default, all employees listed on the next screen will have a check mark, indicating their application is to be submitted; check the box next to any employee you do not wish to submit
  3. Enter your contact's name in the Carrier Rep. Name field
  4. Enter your contact's email address in the Carrier Rep. Email Address field
  5. Check the box Submit to this Rep; you can submit to more than one person if needed
  6. Enter your full name and your agency name in the My name/agency's name field
  7. Enter your email address and phone number
  8. Enter a personal message to the carrier in the Message to be included within submission email

 

(Example: Please call me if you have questions)

 

  1. If you have additional documentation you wish to include with the employee applications, click Choose File, locate the file/zipped folder and click Open
    NOTE: If you have multiple files to attach, they must all be zipped into a single, file; maximum file size is 3 MB
  2. Enter details about the files you are attaching in the Describe contents of above file field
  3. Enter your email address in the Optional Read Receipt sent to this Email Address field. If you have not received a read receipt from the carrier within 24 hours, we recommend that you contact the carrier directly to ensure your submission has been received.
  4. Click Submit submission code electronically to complete the submission of the applications to the carrier

 

 **Humana Submissions Only** 

 1. Click the button.

 2. Select a Coverage Effective Date.

 3. Enter the Payroll Count

  • Payroll count is required upfront in quoting.
  • The true payroll count is captured on the Employer’s Group Application at sold case time, but Humana will accommodate payroll changes in their system after submission.
  • Group coverage will not be delayed due to payroll count changes after submission. All employees, including part-time and full-time employees, should be included in the payroll count (Basically, it will include anyone who receives a paycheck).
  • The number of enrollments is collected separately from the payroll count and will be captured at sold case time.

 
** Complete Step 4 ONLY if you are quoting by class! ** 
 4.  Set Up Classes: You must set up the applicable Classes for the group for Life, STD, and LTD coverages. 

      a. You can select up to 4 classes for each item offered, but a minimum of 2 classes for each product is required.
       b. Select the appropriate class for every employee in the group for Life, STD and LTD coverages (when applicable).
       c. The top life class (Class 1) can have 1 EE, but all other Life classes must have a minimum of 2 EEs. LTD and STD require a minimum of 1 EE in each class.

 5. Click Submit

 6. Verify that all employees you intend to submit to Humana are checked and click Send Selected Apps.
 
 
7. PRE-QUOTES/PRE-SCREENING: E-mail the group's information and application submission code information to [email protected].

     SOLD CASES: E-mail the group’s information and application submission code information to [email protected].

8. Click Submit submission code electronically to complete the submission of the applications to the carrier.
