Answer

What is the difference between the 53377 dye-based black ink cartridge and the 53020 pigment-based black ink cartridge for the LX800/LX810 printers?

There are TWO types of black ink cartridges available for the LX800/LX810 Color Label Printer:

1. 53377 - Dye-based black for printing on virtually all types of gloss and semi-gloss label and tag stocks.

2. 53020 - Pigment-based black for superior bar code scanning and a generally higher level of water/UV resistance.

Pigment-based black does not work on all brands of gloss label stock. Dye-based color ink cartridges are suitable for use on all types of media except some matte-finish plain papers label stocks. Customer testing is highly recommended before purchasing a large amount of stock or ink cartridges.
