Question
How do I use your software to complete and file my tax return?

Answer

You can create an account (start now) to do this years tax return by selecting a username and a password. Then, you must agree to our User Agreement. This starts an interview process that prompts you for the information needed to complete your tax return. Please print the username and password screen when prompted. You need this information for future logins.  Also, record your responses to the security questions (exact spelling is important)

You will be asked a series of qualifying questions to make sure that we will be able to help you.

The next step after qualifying is to enter your personal information. You need your W-2's and information about your deductions, family members, etc.. The software generates the correct form based on the information you enter. It should take approximately 20 minutes to complete the process if you have all of your information handy (dependent on the complexity and amount of information to enter). If you get started and need to quit, you can come back any time and resume where you left off by logging into your account.

After verifying that all of your information is correct, you submit payment through a variety of options and we will e-file your return with the IRS. You receive proof of acceptance within 48 hours and should have your refund within 21 days (according to the IRS with direct deposit). Occasionally, a return may be sent back by the IRS or state for corrections. You will be notified via email if this applies to you. You can log in and correct the information and resubmit at no extra charge. Our customer service staff will be happy to help you if you cannot find the answers you need by using our comprehensive knowledge base.

Your return has not been submitted until you click on the button that reads "Submit to IRS/state" and you will then see a "Thank You" page.
