Answer

Will my printer work with Windows 2003 Server?

While none of our drivers are specifically created for or tested on Windows 2003 all Windows XP/2000 drivers can work with some modification.

The following printer drivers should work without any modification:

  • BravoPro
  • Bravo II
  • LX800
  • Signature Z6

All other printers with XP/2000 drivers require the following modification to the operating system.

  1. Run gpedit.msc (Group Policy Editor) - Go to Start - Run - Type in gpedit.msc - Click OK.
  2. Choose Computer Configuration - Administrative Templates - Printers.
  3. Set Disallow installation of printers using kernel-mode drivers to Disabled.

Please Note: Running XP/2000 drivers on Windows 2003 server is not a supported configuration. If you encounter problems running the drivers on this Operating System tech support cannot provide support.
