Rules regarding extensions vary from state to state. Most states accept the federal extension request and may have a separate form to send in if you owe.
There is a link provided for the state forms necessary for extension and/or payment once you get to the extension page under the primary tab in the federal program.
Please note: we electronically file very few state extensions, check your state details with the link on the page for the federal extension.
If your state requires it's own extension in addition to the federal, it is your responsibility to complete and send in any applicable forms if we do not support the e-filing of the form.
