Contacting Taxpayer Service for Assistance During Tax Season:
If you need additional assistance or have questions about your return you may contact Taxpayer Service at 410-260-7980 from Central Maryland or at 1-800-MD TAXES from elsewhere. Assistance is available Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.From February 1 - April 15 we experience extremely high call volume. As an alternative, you can send an email totaxhelp@comp.state.md.usand receive an answer in 2-3 business days. The Comptroller of Maryland offers extended hours February 2 - April 15, 2015 Monday through Friday from 8:30am until 7:00pm for telephone assistance.
