Alignment Failed - Incorrect Cartridge Installed - Error received after alignment is printed (Bravo SE - Mac)

Answer

Alignment Failed - Incorrect Cartridge Installed - Error received after alignment is printed (Bravo SE - Mac)

1. Try to print after you receive this error. If you are able to print, you can ignore this error. The error will not affect your ability to print with this cartridge.

2. If you are not able to print and you continue to receive prompts to align the cartridge, you may have a defective cartridge. Try a new cartridge.

3. If a new cartridge does not solve the problem, try the following:

  A. From the Configuration Utility, click the Clean Cartridge button.
  B. If the Clean Cartridge Print succeeds, now click the Align Cartridge button.

The clean cartridge print may clear the USB port for the Alignment Print.

4. Rights/Permissions. There may be insufficient permissions to the Hard Drive - Library - Printers - Primera folder and subfolders. Make sure you have full access to this folder. See this article for instructions.

5. Finally, if all of these suggestions fail you may disable the requirement for the alignment print on all new cartridges.
Use the following instructions:

a. Go to the Macintosh HD - Library - Printers - Primera - Disc Publisher SE folder.
b.
Select the DiscPubSECfg file. (Do not confuse this file with the DiscPubSEConfig utility)

c.
Right Click or Control+left click on this file to display a menu. Choose "Open With" - "Other" from the menu.

d.
The applications folder will open. Scroll to the bottom of the list. Choose TextEdit. Click Open.
e. Find the Ignore Align key. Set the integer value to 1.

<key>IgnoreAlign</key>
<integer>1</integer>

f. Close the file and click Save when it prompts you to save it.
