Starting a new tax return

At www.OLT.com, click on "start now" to create a new OLT ONE Account.  All customers (new and returning) will create an account. (If you created an OLT ONE acount during 2021 to complete your 2020 return or review a prior year, click on "sign in" to access the account, you do not need to create an additional account)

Returning customers with an OLT ONE account will enter the username, password, and a verification code to log in.

 

New customers will enter your email address, a username, and a password.  Enter the verification code at the bottom of the page.

You will be presented with the user agreement for the OLT software, check the box after reading, then save and continue.

A verification code will be sent to your email address or mobile phone (choose your preference), once received and entered, you can move forward.

Choose your 3 security questions and answers.  Be sure to make note of these, they must be answered exactly as you have entered them when prompted.

Your account has been created!

You can go to the account summary (upper left) to click on a prior year that you wish to import to this account, access that account, or view/print forms.  Currently you can pull in 2018, 2017, 2016 and 2015.

Click on "start my 2021 return" to get started in the current year entering the information that you have received.

After verifying all of your information is correct, you choose a payment option, verify on the disclaimer and consent page, click the "submit to IRS" button and we will forward your e-file to the IRS (starts late January). We will email proof of acceptance within 48 hours. If you are due a refund and chose direct deposit you can expect your refund in less than 21 days (approximate).

Occasionally, a return is sent back for corrections. We send an email indicating your return was sent back by the IRS and you can login and correct the return and resubmit at no extra charge.
