Error opening Creo part or Assembly when a New Dataset is created in Teamcenter

Answer

Symptom

When sending a new Dataset to Creo from Teamcenter, the user gets an error stating “Open from Teamcenter may have been unsuccessful. <Dataset name> (The system cannot find the file specified)

Creo 2.0

TcRS 10.1.4

ProE Integration 10.1.0

Solution

When creating a new dataset, the revision is appended to the end of the dataset name. Remove the /REV from the end before you create the dataset. i.e. 000026/A should be 000026
