While there is no such thing as a “perfect” background investigation, CrimShield does goes the extra mile to help ensure that the background investigation results are accurate, complete and belong to the applicant. Oftentimes the court documents or other repository information contain errors. For example, if a court record has been entered in a court file with an error, there is no way for CrimShield as a third-party investigation company to know about that error, or to identify or remedy that court mistake. CrimShield is only able to report the data as provided by the Courts and State/County criminal history repositories’. If that Court information in incorrect, CrimShield does not have the ability or authority to alter, amend, modify or correct City, County, State or Federal court records.
