Notes:
1. All times assume media is capable of maximum drive speeds.
2. All times are based on real world testing. These times will not conform to other speed charts available on the web which are based on theoretical burn times.
3. All times are for full actual data burns filling the entire capacity of the discs and include writing the lead in and lead out. They do not include robotic time. Lesser burn amounts will not necessarily follow a proportional reduction in speed because drives slowly ramp up to the stated fastest speed and do not reach that speed until near the end of a burn. In other words, the MB per second listed above only occurs at the top speed achieved near the end of a burn and cannot be used to extrapolate burn time when give the amount of data to burn.
4. All times are approximate and depend on several factors including computer USB bus speed, computer processor speed and hard drive configuration (RAID, separate hard drives for data and OS.) For optimal burning speed follow the below recommendations.
