I have a SATA 3Gb/s (SATA II) motherboard. Should I buy an expansion card to add SATA 6GB/s (SATA III) support?

Expansion cards that offer SATA 6Gb/S support (SATA III) often do not reach peak performance.

Samsung does not recommend the use of such expansion cards. If you are seeking maximum performance, it is recommended to consider upgrading your motherboard.
