How do I access a clients prior year return?

WEB Software

To access a prior year return filed in the prior year software:

  1. From the Setup Tab, select Login to Prior Year Site
  2. This will allow you the option to choose which year's software you would like to access.
  3. Once in the prior year software, choose the Client Manager Tab and select Manage Return. 

To access a prior year return filed with this years' software:

  1. When you have chosen to file a prior year return within the current years' software, use your Client Manager Tab and select Prior Year Return.
  2. Select the year for this return and choose Edit/View. All clients filed from your current year software for that filing year will be listed for editing and completion.

Desktop Software

Within your Desktop Software, to file a prior year return you would need to access your account from oltpro.com website and select the Client Manager Tab > Prior Year Return. Here you can file a prior year return for your client.

To access the prior year return filed with the current year software:

  1. Login to your account through www.oltpro.com
  2. From the Client Manager Tab, select Prior Year Return.
  3. Select the year for this return and choose Edit/View. All clients filed from your current year software for that filing year will be listed for editing and completion.

If the prior year return was filed with OLTPRO Desktop software:

  1. Open and login to the Desktop Software for the year you had filed it. Example: You had purchased and used OLTPRO 2010 Desktop Software and filed a 2010 return with that software. The best way to access that return is to login to your OLTPRO 2010 Desktop Software and access that return. However, you can use the above steps listed as: WEB Software: To access a prior year return filed in a prior year. If that return was e-filed in the 2010 software, we will have a copy of that return on our server for your access.
