How do I remove the tray on a Plextor 716a DVD drive to check for jammed discs?

To remove the tray, it is necessary to disengage a small plastic hook on the left side of the tray. You need to pull up slightly on this hook so that it clears the catch on the inside of the the drive. Open the tray and disconnect power. Use the procedure below to remove the tray:

Note on Step 4. If you pull on the tray and it comes out a little bit but does not release, push the tray in slightly and pull out again.

Note: This procedure only applies to Plextor 716a DVD drives.
