Question
When PrimoDVD creates a global image (GI) of a DVD it creates three or four files. Which file do I choose?

Answer

When PrimoDVD creates a global image (GI) of a DVD it creates three or four files.  Which file do I choose?

Choose the file that is named what you originally named the GI file.  It will be the file without the number in parentheses.  When creating Global Images of DVDs, Primo splits the files into 2 GB increments to accommodate FAT32 file formatting.  The original file name becomes a pointer file to the other larger files that contain the data.  The bottom line is that you should choose the file that you named originally.  See the example below:

File Name Size
My DVD.gi (Original File Name)

2KB

My DVD (11).gi 2,097,120KB (2 GB)
My DVD (12).gi 2,097,120KB (2 GB)
My DVD (13).gi 352,154 KB (remaining balance)
