The CX1200 is not cutting the media/paper after the print is complete (CX1200).

Answer

The CX1200 is not cutting the media/paper after the print is complete (CX1200).

1. Check for proper cutter operation.  Press the cut button.  If it does not cut, check the six pin cable connection between the cutter and unwinder.  Be sure all connections are secure.  Make sure the rewinder is turned on and the power plug is connected.

If it still does not cut and all power and data connections are secure, check for proper unwinder operation.  Lift up on the dancer arm, the mandrel should spin.  If it does not spin, the unwinder board is malfunctioning.  If it does spin the cutter board or cutter motor is malfunctioning.

If it does cut after pressing the button, move to step 2.

2. Check the six pin cable connection between the cutter and the feeder door.  The feeder door connection could be loose or disconnected.  Close the feeder to access the connection.  If this connection is secure, the feeder door circuit board is malfunctioning.
