What is a channel nut?

Answer

The vertical frame member of the composite case features a Unistrut mounting channel directly behind the panel mounting face. Channel nuts can be placed in this channel to provide a mounting capability that is infinitely adjustable vertically. This is 90 degrees opposed to the panel mounting face, and is typically used to mount equipment support rails (L-bars) or slides. See below:
