Question
How do I access two Microsoft accounts in one browser?

Answer

How do I access two Microsoft accounts in one browser?

Microsoft doesn’t support being logged into multiple accounts (such as a work and school account) at the same time in a single browser session. If you need to access more than one Microsoft account at once, try one of these quick and easy methods:

  1. Open your Internet browser and sign in to your first Microsoft account
  2. Open an Incognito/Private browsing window in your Internet Browser
    • Google Chrome: click the three-dot menu and select New Incognito Window
    • Mozilla Firefox: click the three-line menu and select New Private Window
    • Microsoft Edge: click the three-dot menu and select New InPrivate Window
  3. In the new incognito/private window, visit my.northwood.edu click NU Portal Login to sign in using your Northwood email address ([email protected])

If you’re only trying to sign in to your Northwood University account and are running into issues, visit logout.northwood.edu to sign out of all Microsoft Office accounts first.

  1. Use one browser (e.g., Chrome) to log in to the first Microsoft account
  2. Open a different browser (e.g., Firefox or Edge) and sign in to the second Microsoft account
  1. In browsers like Chrome, click the profile icon and select Add to create a new profile
  2. Use each profile to log in to separate Microsoft accounts
