What is the difference between Federal Tuition Assistance and Credentialing Assistance?

Answer

Federal Tuition Assistance fundsare allocated to support Service members pursuing an academic certificate and/or degree from a college or university that has signed the Department of Defense Memorandum of Understanding.  

Army Credentialing Assistance fundsare allocated to support Service members interested in earning a credential such as an industry certification or license. Funding can be used to pay for a training program offered by an approved training provider, a certification exam, or study materials to help with independent preparation.  

Federal Tuition Assistance and Army Credentialing Assistance have a limit of $4000 combined to pay for a degree or certificate/license.
