Question
As a Service member, will I still receive a Student Agreement that serves as a contract-for-degree and protects me from changes in degree requirements?

Answer

Yes, all institutions participating in the Department of Defense Tuition Assistance program are required to provide an evaluated educational plan that includes the degree requirements for the educational program being pursued by the Service member. The evaluated educational plan must also indicate how many, if any, transfer credits it intends to award and how these will be applied toward the Service member’s educational program.  Degree requirements in effect at the time of each Service member’s enrollment will remain in effect for a period of at least 1 year beyond the program’s standard length, provided the Service member is in good academic standing and has been continuously enrolled or received an approved academic leave of absence.
