Question
What is the purpose of the SOC Degree Network System (DNS)?

Answer

The SOC Degree Network System consists of post-secondary institutions selected by the Military Services to deliver specific associate and bachelor’s degree programs to Service members. Colleges of the SOC Degree Network System agree to special requirements and obligations that provide military students with opportunities to complete college degrees without suffering the loss of academic credit due to changes of duty station or other demands of military career.

Additionally, these institutions have reviewed and agreed to a set of articulation agreements and adopted policies outlined in the Department of Defense (DoD) Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to help Service members obtain college degrees at the 2 and 4-year levels. DNS networks are reflective of high-demand occupations and workforce trends currently recognized nationwide.
